Our mission is to promote excellence in medicine, foster professional and personal growth, and strengthen the global Haitian medical community through collaboration, mentorship, and service.

Our organization aims to create a robust network that supports members’ professional journeys, nurtures academic and career achievements, and addresses healthcare disparities in underserved communities. Through initiatives in mentorship, community outreach and professional development, YHDN is committed to uplifting the Haitian medical community and fostering a legacy of excellence, leadership and service.

Jonathan Francois, MD
President
Dr. Jonathan Francois is a board-certified Internist and Cardiologist with a deep passion for health equity, global health, and the integration of AI in healthcare. He earned his medical degree with honors (Cum Laude) from St. George's University in Grenada before completing his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. Currently, Dr. Francois is advancing his expertise through a Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at JFK Hospital in Florida. Dedicated to bridging healthcare disparities and pioneering innovative solutions, he remains committed to creating meaningful change in both local and global communities.
Danaë Brierre, MD
Vice President / Treasurer
Dr. Danaë Brierre is completing her training as a triple board physician specializing in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry. She has a passion for advocacy and mentorship. She is dedicated to bridging the gap in mental health in the Haitian population as well as educating and destigmatizing psychiatric services in the community. She enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, cooking and yoga.
Melissa Chamblain Morpeau, MD
Secretary / Board of Directors Member
Dr. Melissa Chamblain is a Board-Certified Internist and Geriatrician dedicated to promoting healthcare literacy and wellness. Specializing in aging-related care, she serves underserved communities in South Florida. A mentor and advocate for diversity, she was named a Top Doctor in Aventura Magazine and featured in Best in Florida Magazine in 2023. She is an avid tennis player and a dog mom.
Garly Saint Croix, MD
Board of Directors Member
Dr. Saint Croix is a general, interventional and structural cardiologist, member of Cardiology Physicians LLC who performs percutaneous cardiac and vascular interventions at AdventHealth Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach in Florida. Dr. Saint Croix went to medical school at Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of State University of Haiti and graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2015. He came to the US for his specialty in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami where he was resident of the month several times. He then pursued a career in cardiology at Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. Dr. Saint Croix pursued additional training in interventional and structural cardiology in New York at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is currently certified in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear medicine and vascular medicine boards.

Lyne Prisca Desravines

Lyne Prisca Desravines is a dedicated medical doctor with a passion for combining her diverse talents. She studied medicine at the “Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie de l'Université d'État d'Haïti”. Apart from that, she is a skilled massotherapist, skincare coach, and creative designer making a name for herself in Haitian fashion. Lyne is committed to excellence and innovation, inspiring young girls to follow their dreams.
